After being medicated, Sarah expressed to nurses that she does want help and will begin taking her medicine, as she does not want to hurt herself or others. Putting myself into Sarah’s position, I would feel as if no one understands that I am also scared. I think that in the future, she must reiterate her fears to healthcare staff, so that they understand she is not voluntarily wanting to hurt others, or herself. Sarah needs to explain to nurses that she needs validation and reassurance that they understand she does not want to hurt anyone, and that she is also afraid of the voices.
