According to his mother he has had a runny nose that worsened overnight with onset of wheezing and difficulty breathing. He lives at home with mom, dad and 10-year old sister and one dog. He attends the first grade. He has no known drug allergies and is up to date with all immunizations.History of Present Complaint to ER:   Greg had a 2-day history of URI symptoms that worsened overnight. Mom went into Greg’s room to check on him at bedtime and noticed that he was having difficulty breathing and she could hear wheezing. Mom gave him a dose of albuterol via home nebulizer machine and then put him in the car and brought him to the ER. On a daily basis Greg’s home medication are: • Montelukast (Singulair®) 1 tablet (5 mg) PO daily in the evening• Fluticasone 44 mcg (Flovent®) 2 puffs 2 times daily • Albuterol inhaler 2 puffs (180 mcg) PRN wheezing every 4-6 hours OR• Albuterol nebulizer 2.5 mg/3 mL NS (1 bullet) q 4-6 hours PRN wheezing  II.
