Differences in priority between researchers and participants: As a result of our research, scientists have placed a high value on conducting themselves ethically and collecting data that is precise, dependable, and relevant to the study at hand. Participants’ top priority for the study encounter included these and other objectives such as friendship and the opportunity to interact, remuneration, or the opportunity to speak on a topic of interest to them (Holden et al., 2015).
Health Literacy and Language of Data Collection Instrument: In order to obtain accurate data, interview questions and survey instruments must be written in a way that is understandable to the participants. Data collecting instruments may be impacted by participants’ lack of health literacy, which may affect their comprehension of the questions (Rimando et al., 2015).
Duration of Data Collection: The duration of the data collecting instrument or how long a participant is engaged in the process of giving data might have an influence on the data collection process. Participants will be better informed about their time commitments if the researcher conducts a pilot test of a data collection instrument (Rimando et al., 2015).
Researcher Fatigue: A researcher’s exhaustion should also be taken into account when assessing the fatigue felt by participants. Focus groups and interviews exhaust the researcher collecting the data as much as they do the participants because of the mental strain involved in completing a survey. Researcher exhaustion can alter the findings of a study (Rimando et al., 2015).
