During this week, you have digested a large amount of information through the assigned readings. You learned about the ethics and risks involved in leading the Student Affairs team in higher education. It is now time to reflect on what you have learned, and to demonstrate your understanding through the assignment below.

For this assignment, you will review what you have learned about the role of leadership in student affairs, including the ethics and risks that may accompany the role. Using the CAS Statements of Ethical Standards and the principles relayed in the readings this week, discuss the challenges that you have personally witnessed (or read about) concerning the following, as defined in Barr et al. (2014):

• Autonomy
• Non-Malfeasance
• Beneficence
• Justice
• Fidelity
• Veracity
• Affiliation

Follow your reflective thoughts and ideas with support from scholarly works. Finally, discuss how you would make specific changes that would yield a difference in areas that may be lacking in an institution of higher learning to which you are familiar.

References: Include a minimum of five scholarly resources.

Your reflective essay should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
