PMO discussion – 3

The course module lecture and Chapter 3 of the course text (Hill, 2013) discussed the importance and use of PMO project management standards and metrics. Describe the distinction between PMO project management standards and metrics.

• Identify an organization that has a PMO (which may be based on your work experience). Give an example of a project management standard and an example of a project management metric. Describe how each advances the organization’s project management effectiveness.
• Identify an organization that could use a PMO. Recommended an example of a project management standard and an example of a project management metric. Describe how each would advance the organization’s project management effectiveness.
