POST 1

Hello class my name is Bryan Robinson and I?m 35 years old. I decided to complete my Bachelors in Supervision and management because I want to further grow in my career and currently that is what I need. I currently work for the School District of Lee County and have been for ten and a half years. I just took over a new role in the district titled Supervisor of Equipment, Procurement, and Facilities for the Food and Nutrition department. I oversee all the kitchens maintenance in the kitchens while also making all orders for equipment and small wares for the kitchen managers. I am also responsible for working with our construction department on new kitchens layouts and remodels. Before I stepped into this position I was a building supervisor for the district at one of the elementary schools where I oversaw all the maintenance for that particular school. On the weekends I try to relax some but they are normally busy with running errands but football season is upon us so I will be able to watch the games on the weekends now. Good morning, my name is Sara Sargent and I’ve worked in high school special education for four years now as a helping teacher. I work in a functional skills classroom and love my job. I’m a fall semester and spring semester from having my bachelor’s degree and have achieved my certifications to become a special education teacher. I’m earning my degree in supervision and management because I need a bachelor’s degree to teach, but can’t afford the time an internship would take unpaid when I have experience in the field already. I believe these classes will be beneficial in the long run if going into business is something I decide to do when I get teacher burn out. The turnover rate for my career is high so having a back up plan is a good idea. I have a son named Banyan who is going to be two in December. If anyone needs a study buddy, I am available Thursdays.
