There is no golden bullet or foolproof method in the progression of a professional career. It’s possible that what works well for one person won’t have the same effect on another. I have found this to be true.  As a result, it is essential that learning and development be incorporated into an organization’s career development program in a manner tailored to the individual’s specific needs.

Providing employees with access to online learning resources illustrates this principle in action. Learning through the internet can be an excellent way to cater to the preferences of individuals who would instead study on their own time and at their own pace. On the other hand, some people might be more comfortable with more organized and in-person learning opportunities.
