There is interaction, communication, transaction, role, stress, and coping in the interpersonal system. Finally, the social system entails organization, authority, power, control status, and decision-making. There are many vital components within the theory, all interrelated, but two key terms are perception and interaction. Perception is defined as the exchanges that occur between the individual and their environment. Interaction is the process of individuals communicating with one another as they develop perceptions of these meetings (Caceres, 2015). In the introduction, we as nurses are met with our patients’ perceptions about their care. The first interaction dictates the course of the patient’s stay in the hospital. Suppose the patient had a traumatic or smooth experience in the ED, on the floor, at radiology, in-patient or outpatient services past or present or in other units, on introduction.
